Fleeting Refuge

After another walk by the creek in town, I painted this from the many more photos I took.
It was apparent that recent storms had wreaked havoc. I realized that this refuge of calm and inspiration is not something I can depend on. But captured in this painting is the peace I felt in the moment I was there.
